The National Safety Council of India (NSCI) is a founding member of the APOSHO. It was set up in 1985 by Safety Councils of six countries of Asia including NSC India with the objective of promoting mutual understanding and co-operation and contributing to enhancement of OHS through exchange of information & views among the communities in the Asia Pacific region. Presently, APOSHO has 36 organisations from different countries as its members and meets once every year in a member country.
Annual Conference & AGM
The Annual Conference & AGM of the APOSHO is held by rotation on voluntary basis. The Conference include keynote and parallel sessions in which distinguished experts and speakers deliver speeches, which is open for all delegates including APOSHO members. The APOSHO Committee Meetings and AGM is open for APOSHO members only, in which confirmation of the minutes of previously held meetings; report of the results of the committee meetings; decision on the requests received from APOSHO members for hosting future annual conferences & AGMs; and handing over of APOSHO flag & secretariat to the next APOSHO hosting organisation, take place.
